The Unda Dada Program by Teenage Mums Empowerment is an initiative dedicated to empowering teenage mothers through vocational training, mentorship, welfare support, and life skills development.

Through its Vocational Training component, the program provides hands-on training in marketable skills that enable beneficiaries to earn sustainable incomes. In Beauty Therapy, participants are trained in Nail Technology, Makeup Application, Eyelash Installation, Indian Head Massage, Body Arts, and Piercing. The program also offers Digital Marketing training, where beneficiaries learn Content Creation and Canva design skills to help them thrive in the digital economy. In addition, the Crafting section equips young mothers with practical creative skills such as Crocheting, encouraging entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

The program also addresses social and emotional wellbeing through the GBV/Welfare department, which supports survivors and vulnerable young mothers through Case Management services, provision of Food supplies, and distribution of Sanitary Towels. These interventions help restore dignity and provide immediate relief to those facing hardship.

Throughout the training program, we ensure our participants and their babies have access to proper nutrition, the Feeding Program provides Dry Food packages as well as daily Uji and Lunch support. This initiative helps improve health, concentration during training, and overall wellbeing for both mothers and their babies.

Recognizing the challenges faced by young mothers in balancing childcare and personal growth, our program includes a Daycare section that provides Baby Care services, Diapers, Toys, and Clothing for the babies. This creates a safe and supportive environment where mothers can fully participate in training and mentorship activities.

The Mentorship pillar of the Unda Dada Program focuses on emotional healing, personal growth, job application, personal and group therapy and inspirational stories. Through Safe Space sessions, Mental Health support, and SRHR & SGBV Awareness programs, teenage mothers receive guidance, counseling, and education that helps them make informed decisions, overcome stigma, and build confidence in their future.

Overall, the Unda Dada Program is committed to transforming lives by nurturing skills, restoring hope, and empowering teenage mothers to become confident, self-reliant, and productive members of society.
